Greenville, SC native Michelle Berg Radford has been in love with landscapes since she saw the paintings of the Hudson River School and Vincent Van Gogh as a teenager. Michelle studied landscape painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned her MFA in Painting.

“I’m trying to capture the spirit of a place - to transport the viewer for a moment. The character of light and the movement of air are an important part of that. This is why color and mark-making are at the core of my work. I’m continually surprised and delighted by nature’s forms and colors, materiality of paint, and the often unpredictable journey of making a work of art.”
